Aside from the fact that store bought dressing is rarely low-FODMAP why settle for bottled, processed dressings full of preservatives, when you can make your own, easy, healthy version in less than a minute?
Balsamic vinaigrette is one of the easiest dressings to make…
It’s so easy, you barely need a recipe! Just pop three ingredients into a screw-top-jar, put the lid on(!) and shake, easy peasy!
You don’t really need to measure this, you can just do it by eye and taste. I like to have a 50% – 50% ratio for a slightly more tangy dressing but you can add more oil if you want a richer one. I think the balso adds just the right amount of sweetness, so I don’t add syrup or sugar but you can, if you like.
Of course you can omit the grainy mustard, or add things like sugar or herbs but this is a good base to play with.
The dressing separates after a few minutes but all you need to do is pop the lid on and shake it again before use.
Delicious. I hope you guys like it, it definitely adds a kick to your salads! Why not try it with my Pumpkin, Lentil & Walnut Salad
Enjoy!
